Return to Vice City in New GTA for PSP
The Grand Theft Auto series is back on the PSP, bringing joy to fans and Sony alike.
Just like it did on consoles, the Grand Theft Auto series is jumping from Liberty City to Vice City on the PSP. Rockstar revealed today that it'll follow up on the success of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories with a new game for Sony's portable called Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
For its first PSP outing, Rockstar threw convention out the window and looked to create another full Grand Theft Auto game. It was meant to be not a cut-down version solely there to rake in fan bucks but rather a whole new experience in the successful franchise. Now Rockstar will be using the hard work done in creating the first game by taking the experience back to Vice City.
"The incredible PSP system technology allowed us to do things we never thought possible on a handheld system," said Rockstar's Sam Houser, "and we are excited to once again give our audience a fresh experience in one of their favourite locales in the Grand Theft Auto series, Vice City."
Like its PSP predecessor, the game won't simply build on the first story in the city but will rather bring all new characters and events. Rockstar hasn't explicitly confirmed that the game will delve back into the mid-1980s cool of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but it's a fair bet that it will.
